Moving on to the weekend we are away to the dog botherers. They are coming off a heavy defeat at the hands of Brizzle. My m8’s went to the game and said that Udders were not as bad as the score line suggests. Udders had a majority of the possession but lacked a cutting edge. Wow that sounds familiar!!

Huddersfield became the first English team to win three successive English League titles in 1926 – a feat that only three other clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United) have been able to match – and was achieved under the leadership of legendary manager and pioneer Herbert Chapman and his successor Cecil Potter. This was the last time that they won the League. They have also won the FA Cup once, in 1922.

Leeds United are considered to be the club's main rivals, with Huddersfield having the better head-to-head record of the two teams. Including games against United's predecessor club Leeds City, Huddersfield have won 36 of the 88 derbies between the two sides with 20 draws and 32 Leeds wins

Famous players that played for the Terriers include Frank Worthington, Ray Wilson, Denis Law, Clem Stephenson and Peter Doherty

The Football League 100 Legends is a list of "100 legendary football players" produced by The Football League in 1998, to celebrate the 100th season of League football. Three former Huddersfield players made the list.

I couldn’t find many famous fans of our noisy neighbours but Gordon Kaye, Ryan Sidebottom, Harold Wilson and good old David Brown were all born there

Leeds will of course be without the Yorkshire Pirlo due to suspension which may cause a selection head ache for the god we call Bielsa. I really don’t want to break up our CB partnership of White and Cooper but it looks as though it is a popular choice in the eyes of the fans. Another option would be to play 3 CB’s and we could end up with something like this

                   Kiko

            Ayling White Cooper

Dallas                                Alioski

                    Klich

                   Shacks

Hernandez                        Harrison

                   Bamford

One thing for sure it will be an intriguing game that the dog botherers will be well up for

For those of you that can’t get tickets for the game you can pop along to ER and have a bottomless brunch and unlimited alcohol, and soak up the atmosphere, or alternatively you sit at home or the pub and watch it on Sky.

Me thinks it will be a draw but am hoping for a gert lush win

Anyway Arriverderci ciao ta ta for now

Another quality MDT Battyboy....and at the moment all i want for Xmas is you....

The boy has a game for Beds v Cheshire with a 1430 kick off....gutted!! The games are usually played at non league grounds so these have Sky TV in the clubhouse and would have worked out perfectly. This has been arranged at short notice so being played at a school ffs....have to just listen on the radio.

I've got Sky Sports on Virgin at home so is it possible to watch games live on my phone (by a Virgin app?) if i find my Virgin password etc?

Going for a positive 3-0 win with yet another Hattrick Bamford hat trick taking his tally for the season to an impressive 18 thus far....

Their defence will be depleted as they will be without Elphick and Chalobah. They could also be missing Simpson and Kongolo through injury.

Campbell is a doubt for them up front.

Kachunga, Grant and Bacuna provide them with decent attacking threat and Hogg is a very capable DCM whilst Pritchard can spray a pass.

Our best chance is to play offensively, press deep in their defensive third and take our chances. Play like we did v Boro and we will be OK even if they will be fully up for it during their Cup Final.

keep it going Batty

KP will be a massive loss for us i think but they have their own injury concerns too.

More than likely a score draw for me (we undone by a set piece and eddie will grab an equalizer in the 83rd min) despite us having +60% possession

Can see a red card in this one especially if the underfoot conditions are suspect.

If only we knew someone that could provide a decent weather forecast!!!

I reckon the Dog Botherers will be well fired up for this one: 2-1- to Leeds but no easy ride.

Interesting fact about Leeds win percentages

Leeds' win percentage by month in the Championship since 2010/11: August (45%) September (43%) October (32%) November (58%)

🔥
December (49%) January (36%) February (36%) March (39%) April (27%)

😔
May (38%) November is our best performing month. April not so good. #LUFC

So far, the main issue for me, is that White and Ayling are too close to each other when defending. Other than that a pretty open game

Not at our fluid best.

Missed Phillips and Cooper.

60% possession so it was great to see us bagging 2 and looking so comfortable during the latter stages.

Early second half goal made the match easier for us as they could not sit back and waste time.

If Huddersfield players put the same amount of effort in for future games as they did against us they will rapidly climb the table but LUFC is their Cup Final game so doubtful they will maintain their intensity and work rate against other sides. Same cou be said for players of all other opposing teams that play against us.

Well Done Batts - you're top of the league!

Difficult game
Poodles playing hoof ball and breaking game yo with lots of injury time outs.

Great save by Kiko kept us in game
Kalvin and Coops big miss on top of other injuries
Nice to see Oli Casey make debut good prospect

Fulham losing makes it a good weekend

Onto Hull and Bowen + Grosicki.

Full backs need to  concentrate as they will go long to Eaves and look for knock downs. Magennis should be out injured for them (Hamstring) which  helps us as he can be a nuisance.

Need to be clinical as we should get 70% possession and cannot afford counters. At least KP will be back to help and break up transition play!
