Sheff Wednesday are up next on Saturday lunch time. Coming off a 1-0 thrashing of Stoke they are hitting the giddy heights of 3rd place in the championship “Watch out you barstewards don’t get a bloody nose bleed”

Could it be that they are going to join there Brammal Lane buddies in the Premier league next year, we fecking hope not. With snake to guide them I think they will probably run out of spunk before seasons end (did you see what I did there)

Sheffield Wednesday were, like Preston, originally a cricket club and got their name because they played on Wednesday’s. One famous player for them back then was Michael Vaughn

Feck me we could have been playing Sheff Wednesday, Fulham Thurday and Swansea Saturday at that rate. Would have been like playing back in the 70’s when we played 3 or 4 games a week at the end of seasons lol

Originally Wednesday played games at Highfield before moving several times until they had their first permanent home at Olive Grove. Some of the less permanent grounds included Brammall Lane, Sheaf House and for our older statesman like Lord Windyflaps I expect they remember travelling to Hunters Bar and Myrtle road to watch the whites play there.

Brian Laws' wife, Rob Jones' Mum, Trevor Francis' son, and Howard Wilkinson's son,

Half the Thompson twins and David Blunkett are all famous Owls   who!!!!! [m1516]

The 1993 FA Cup semi-final match which took place at Wembley on 3 April 1993 between the blades and Owls was originally scheduled to take place at ER but this was met with dismay by both sets of fans. After a re-think, the FA decided to switch venue to Wembley. A crowd of 75,365 supporters made the trip down to London to watch Wednesday beat United 2–1 after extra time.  But the buggers lost in the final ha ha!

Leeds V Sheff Weds all time record

Anybody going to the game please kick Barney Owl in the nuts, he gets on my frigging nerves [dope-slap]

As you can see we won two, lost two and drew one

My Fave Leeds Weds game was the 6-1 thrashing we gave 'em at Hillsborough, even Mike Whitlow scored that day!

Tough game this after coming off a game we should have won easily

Everyone knows we play wide but they still have to stop us

Too many poor crosses that get blocked

Time to drop Harrison me thinks and bring in Nketiah

What Leeds need to do is get the fecking ball in the net

Good luck again and quality MDT Battyboy....

Gonna be a real toughie and i hate saying it, but maybe a point away from home to a team who are also up there stops THEM getting 2 extra points as well....

Think Coops is fit but think we'll stick with Beradi. ...

Gonna be positive though and go for a 2-1 victory with Hattrick notching before a plssed off Eddie scores late on....

Sure the 6-1 away win was live on Sky on a Sunday afternoon? Kewell the Judas scored with a beauty outside of his left foot off the underside of the bar? Chapman scored with a diving header?

Didn't we stuff Villa away 4-1 on Sky either just before or after this as well?

We were playing scintillating football around this time....

Note: All the above could be absolute bullshlt and a figment of my imagination....probably more accurate than a Lord Windyarse weather forecast though.

Top quality MDT Botty. 😋 I fancy us to Nick this Hat-Trick must come good at some point !! Eddie to finish em off late on. Bet if Westwood had been in goal that day the numpty who attacked their keeper , would’ve have stayed in his seat !! Big fekker and decent keeper, I’m relying on Gary Spunk to feck up with his dinosaur tactics.

Yep both games were on ITV shag as I remember. I loved that team.

Fairclough and Whyte as the CB's Sterland and Dorigo as the attacking full backs
Strachan, Speed, Batty and MacCallister in midfield I think
and Chapman up front with maybe Hodge or Shutt? may even have been Cantona

Even the Wednesday scorer was Sheridan from a penalty

Can't believe I got away with that as i stated Kewell scored in that game. ...he can't have done!!

I'm still sure he scored with the outside of his left foot from 25yds off the underside of the bar v Wendies in another game though!?

Would've been Rod Wallace up front with Chapman. ...Lukic in goal and Kewell in a youth team in Australia! !

The 6-1 away win was in title winning season.  No kewell in that team..a bit before his time. Mike Whitlow scored one of them. Kewells beauty was some years later.

I would settle for a draw here, especially with our lack of goals at present.
Most important is that we don’t loose!
1-1 I reckon, but of course I hope we win...Cumon you Mighty Whites👍

Third game in a week, and our results are always poor due to unchanged lineup and fatigue.
so I'm in the Thackley camp today I'm afraid.

I have a sneaking suspicion a red card will affect the game and we'll get beat 2-1

Never thought I’d say it but we played better before Ayling came back in. Think we got more out of Dallas who was the in-form player

A really painful watch this - we look like we're stuck in 3rd gear, about 80 passing errors and dwelling on the ball - usual fare up top.
Worried at the number of long ball hoofs compared to the usual gameplan too.

I definitely felt we looked washed out

Cooper on shows that Bielsa is trying to do things differently this year. Stabilizing at the back instead of uncompromisingly going for the win.

Kiko has improved a lot. Probably our MoM today.

As I said in my OP i think it is time to drop Harrison. Eddie did more in ten minutes down the left flank than Harrison did all game

Agreed 👍

I think Bielsa may have realised that sometimes when things are not going your way,as much as you want the 3 points..... 1 point away from home is a valuable point.... 😎

Maybe that is the answer to our problems.... Start Nketiah on the wing instead of Harrison..... At least i hope Bielsa is considering that.... Because he can always give Nketiah the freedom to move into a central position knowing that Alioski can fill in there at any given time...... ☝

A false Winger..... 😎

2 good points this week.  We really should have beaten preston. Overall 2 away points in 2 diifficult games is a decent return.  We lacked quality today in the final third, some poor passing also.  Kiko did well but still makes me nervous as hell.
Set up wise i'd prefer to see us go 3,5,2.  We did very well with that early last season.

Two home games next, six points a must.

Hard earned point this one, could have gone either way.
Far from our fluent best and with several players well below their best or even their normal standards, a draw is a good result.
Kiko's did very well and even seemed to deal better with high balls into the box.
White, bar one mistake again looked class. Bera did his job too  up against stronger and bigger players.
Midfield was the biggest letdown for me, Klich (never got going and the game seemed to pass him by), Dallas got a bit more influence on the game once he went to the wing.
Hopefully Pablo's back soon.

If we want to WIN a game then why not bring Clarke on?

As stated, he's not gonna come on when we're winning....

What is his role on the bench if he can't come on in ANY scenario!!??
