just seen that, he was going to Brighton this morning,

Pritchard is a good player at this level, but 8m in for a championship player is ridiculous

We are the 5th top spending club in Championship with 4.8 million.

Without knowing enough about the exact ins and outs of FFP, it seems very unfair that clubs get a 'bonus' of parachute payments for getting RELEGATED and FAILING!!

Don't they get enough when they get PROMOTED!!?

If they can't handle their own finances with supposedly astute businessmen at the helm from various MASSIVE CORPORATE institutions, then they shouldn't be rewarded for FAILURE and given an advantage to start ahead of other clubs in the following 2/3 seasons with extra financial parachute fkn payments!!

Surely it is their own fault of going from paying players in the Championship, say 15k per week, and then suddenly putting new players on 40k per week in the Premier with 4yr contracts and not knowing whether they'll stay in there for that one season or the 4!

I know clubs have clauses on players contracts that they'll be reduced if they get relegated but why give them extra dosh....!?

I know the PL & FL do it so clubs dont risk 'doing a Leeds' and almost killing the club and that clubs that get promoted to the PL can be competitive without worrying what will happen if they get relegated but its obvious the amount they are getting for parachute payments is way too much if one club can afford to spend 40 million and the average amount every other club(without the relegated teams) can spend is 1.5 million

I always thought the money that is known as "parachute payments" was actually the TV money from the season that had just gone. I was on the understanding that all teams receive the TV money at Seasons end and not at the start of the season. We received our TV money season end and also agreed amount of revenue split at season end so why would the EPL be any different (except the amount of course).

Buckley gone to Wendies on loan
In last year of contract on high wages at Sunderland so Wendies will be pay % of wages.
Sunderland will do a similar deal with Bridcutt now I expect just arguing over % guess we will pay 60/70% of his £26k wages.

Jesus Huddersfield have signed two solid players this season in Aaron Mooy and Elisas Kachunga. Both have create clear chance for their team to score. Mooy has created 4 so far this game while Kachunga has create 4. When wells comes back from injury he is going to score a bucket full with these two creating chances.

Just watched forest v burton, cracking game.burton deserved and should have got a draw at least, they had forest on the ropes for a good chunk of the match.
Burton will stay up if they can play anywhere close to this level every week.
Forest looked fairly average except for Burke(who had a fine game on the right)assombolonga scored 2 but was quiet for the rest of the game and Hildeberto pereira their right back(on loan from benfica b team)was the stand out player,20 years old but an old head on young shoulders, solid defensively and going forward looks great,he has pace, power and a good football brain(reminds me a bit of marcelo from real madrid)this guy will be a star.dont know how he ended up on loan at forest

EEL, it was a crackin game, watched it about a hour ago and it was something. That right back is under20's international for Portugal. Their coach has ties with a few clubs and is known to play and develop youth which means I not surprised that he has gotten Pereria. Forrest had a pretty young side out there.

What was called the Johnston's Paint Trophy but they have not got any sponsor for it this year so it would have been called The Football League Trophy but for their stupid rebrand as the English Football League or EFL.

This is from the EFL site:

The one season trial for season 2016/17 will include 64 teams made up of EFL League One and Two clubs, plus an additional 16 category 1 Premier League academy/under-21 sides.

Just seen Chris Dawson has gone on loan to Viking FK in Norway from Rotherham....

He doesn't seem to be able to make it at any club under any manager in England!

Still think he has the potential to make it big over here at some point but....

Fulham got one of the best players in Icelandic national team Ragnar Sigurðsson.CB he took a pay cut to go and play were he always want to play. In England.
he still is highest earner at Fulham club. Eidur Smári descripe him as a beast
Wolves got another Jón Daði who has have bright start.

If we'd have sold Charlie Taylor for £5/6m and got Rico Henry for £1.5, then that would have been a great bit of business seeing as how Taylor has started the season....

We'd have had £3/4m to spend on a PROVEN goalscorer....all clubs with hopes of promotion need 4 strikers to rotate and keep fresh with suspensions and injuries.

Ayling and Coyle + Henry and Denton, with Beradi more than able to cover both sides, would have been MORE than sufficient....
