What? Have you already forgotten the bit where you said unofficially demote him and tell him someone else is calling the shots??

nope, not forgotten at all - that's why the demotion would be unofficial (thus he'd officially retain his title, salary and say in team affairs). in reality, it would mean someone was also appointed to call the shots...and, as i said, sell it to bmac (off the record) as being in the best interests of the club, etc.

of course, i don't know the terms of bmac's contract, but i'm not sure this would warrant compo. plus, as i said, i'm sure other creative options (with advice from a legal expert, i should add) are also possible.

and, in the meantime, get the crowd to hound him out - et voila.

Well I just repeat my last post, then - excellent grounds for constructive dismissal if BM didn't buy what your appointed big shot was trying to 'sell' him. And I very much suspect he wouldn't - from the Cellino/Festa sacking debacle, it seems very clear that he's not a man who takes kindly to being undermined.

And, as I say, what a very shabby and underhand proposition anyway: are you Chris Farnell in disguise??

Pretty distasteful stuff.

BMD is a man of honour and I am sure he will accept a quiet transition to director of football with a brief to bring LUFC up to date in preparation for Premier league football. This would include A Scouting network, A European pool of exciting players and a scooping of the best non league potential.
In my dreams come to mind.....

Or he can become our last manager.

when we sack Mc Dermott we should present him with a comb because its as useless to him as he is as useless to us

oh, don't worry your little socks, tgo, i'd give him the opportunity to do the honourable thing and walk away...but if he decided to hang around and milk the club further, then it'd be no holds barred...[wink] wait, that's not a good smiley....[ninja-smiley][bully][nunu] (that's better)

(and, jeeez, i only floated an idea...it's not as if i've been appointed ceo and am going to start bumming bmac with immediate effect!)

Ah, puerility - the last resort of the defenceless feeble-minded. Why am not surprised?

Yes, you floated an idea and I said it was shabby, underhand and distasteful.  Which it was. So what's the problem?  Can't take a bit of fully justified criticism?  And ("jeez") to think you call other posters over-sensitive!

Eat a Snickers.

what, did i not address your point? i.e. i'd give him the opportunity to walk. and in that case, i don't think the idea is underhand or distasteful...certainly not if someone is just hanging around for a pay cheque. and shabby? yes, perhaps, but there are probably other less shabby options.

oh, and criticise all you like, i have no problem with it whatsoever.

WW, we're on the verge of admin and all you talk about is wanting B Mac out.  Its pathetic to be honest.  Talk about him waiting around for a pay cheque, sounds like he'll be waiting along tie this month.  Bigger issues than B Mac at this football club at the moment.

when did i say that's all i want? and because i respond in this thread, that's all i care about?

and please don't refer to me or my actions as "pathetic" (it's not the first time you've done it). because, then other posters jump in half way through a discussion and accuse me of have a go at people, when in fact, i'm never first in having a pop at someone.

Is it annoying when people patronise you WW.  Perhaps consider that when you respond to people.

not figured out how to answer questions yet, pw? there's still a few waiting for you on that other thread, which you've conveniently avoided for the past few days.

tbh, i have no problems whatsoever...i just thought it might benefit the board as a whole if people focused on opinions, and not on attacking people personally. but it's good to know that getting personal is something you accept - i'll bear that in mind from now on.

I must have answered your "questions" a million times. Not getting personal, I am just generally annoyed by all things LUFC at the moment, surely you can see that there are bigger issues than McDermott at this football club to the point we should actually be thankful he is here actually giving a 5hit.  IMHO.

Thankful?? Of Course there are bigger issues and cnuts than the manager but that doesn't mean he can't be criticised when he's been doing a p1ss poor job!
In....... I trust!

Whilst we all continue to be sorely tested  - whilst we are rendered incredulous on a daily (hourly) basis by the events emanating from the monumental clusterf-uck that is LUFC/GFH etc - can we please try to resist the temptation to take out our frustrations on each other.

I have noted a number of occasions this last few days when posters are resorting to personal comments when responding to those whose opinions differ from their own. This is both unnecessary and unacceptable. Please confine your responses to challenging views that you might not agree with - and leave the derogatory (and purely subjective) comments to other forums.

However we view current events, whatever our views on a whole raft of issues adversely affecting the club etc - we are all equally and royally p-issed off at the moment. I would like to believe that we might still be able to debate our differences as committed members of a great forum/message board - rather than trying to emulate the kind of immaturity seen on some other sites. Thanks lads.
